Common questions
Who is this for?
Women aged 35 and up, particularly those navigating perimenopause and looking for a science-backed daily ritual that supports strength, cognition, bones and energy. The formulation is designed for the changes your body goes through in this stage of life.
When and how should I take it?
Add one scoop to 200–300 ml of cold water. Stir or shake well, and drink within 30 minutes of mixing. We recommend taking it in the morning with food, but the timing isn't critical — consistency is what matters.
What does it taste like?
Pink lemonade — lightly sweet and tart, with a clean, light finish. It's a protein water, not a milky shake: translucent with a soft pink hue from natural beetroot colour. Pairs well with cold water; some customers prefer it with milk or a non-dairy alternative.
Can I take it alongside other supplements or medications?
Women's Essential+ is formulated to cover the daily essentials, so most customers can drop their separate D3, magnesium and omega-3 supplements when they start. If you're on prescribed medication or have a medical condition, please check with your GP before starting any new supplement, including ours.
Is it suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
We don't recommend Women's Essential+ during pregnancy or breastfeeding without your GP's approval. The dosing is calibrated for adult women not in those life stages, and your nutritional needs during pregnancy and breastfeeding are different.
How long until I notice a difference?
Most customers report better energy and clearer thinking within 2–3 weeks. Strength and bone-density benefits build over months, not days — these are the nutrients you take to invest in the years ahead, not for an overnight result.
What's the shelf life and how should I store it?
Each pouch is good for 12 months from manufacture. Once opened, store in a cool, dry place. Keep the pouch sealed between uses.
Why I made this.
I started Salus because the supplement aisle wasn't built for us. After years of stacking five separate bottles every morning — and still feeling like I was missing something — I worked with formulators to bring the daily essentials women need
through midlife into one elegant blend. No filler, no marketing fluff, just what your body actually needs in this stage of life. — Emma, founder.

I have loved replacing my list on the fridge reminding me what supplements to take with which meals with this one easy morning ritual.
It's convenient, reassuring to know I'm getting ahead of my protein requirements for the day, and the cost savings not buying individual supplements are so great!
Thanks for simplifying looking after myself in this busy life I lead!
If you’re a guy looking for a clean, all‑in‑one supplement that supports muscle, brain, and bones without a pill routine, this works.
It’s basically a smart daily stack in one scoop: 22 g NZ Whey Isolate, 5 g Creatine, Magnesium L‑threonate, Algae DHA, plus vitamin D3 for better bone strength via greater calcium absorption from the K2.
Mixed well enough, and certainly had less brain fog in the afternoon. The flavour was a refreshing change too from the generic chocolate/vanilla offerings.
I know I'm taking care of myself with this daily drink - I have peace of mind knowing my bone health, energy levels and general wellbeing as a woman in my mid 40s is better supported thanks to Salus Essentials. I've noticed an increase in my energy levels, and more stamina in my everyday tasks. I love that this has both protein & creatine as well! Plus, this is delicious - a worthwhile investment!
The Women’s Essential+ Daily Blend is a total game changer. It’s simple, high-quality, and so easy to make part of my daily routine. I love knowing I’m giving my body targeted support in one convenient blend. Thoughtfully made, great experience, and absolutely worth it -highly recommend!
I am 43 with two kids and I train at least three times a week. I have been taking this supplement for a few weeks in the mornings with water. The taste is delicious and not overtly sweet. It mixes well and is not milky which I really enjoy as a milky protein shake makes me feel sick at times. It has definitely become a habit and I have noticed that I am not getting tired in the afternoons and the brain fog has lifted. I will definitely be repurchasing.
The product mixes really well and having the combination of ingredients makes it so convenient. New Zealand based is also great to know the product you are getting is a quality and not just an imported rebrand.
The biggest thing I’ve noticed is that I’m not hitting that same wall in the evening. I really feel like it’s helped me get through that end-of-day slog with the kids when I’d usually be completely done 😂
It’s become such an easy part of my day and I actually look forward to drinking it. Thank you so much 🤍
The pink lemonade format is exactly the kind of protein drink I prefer. It feels light and refreshing in cold water rather than like a heavy breakfast shake. The one-scoop routine also makes the whole supplement cupboard feel much simpler.
I like seeing Pürest Creatine™ and K2VITAL® identified rather than just generic ingredient names. It gives me more to evaluate when I am comparing products and makes the formula feel deliberately sourced.
Before trying an all-in-one format, I had a protein powder, creatine tub and several supplement bottles in rotation. The appeal here is less about adding another product and more about replacing several steps with one.
I am not a fan of protein powders that taste like cake batter. Pink lemonade is a much better direction for me. This is lighter, cleaner and easier to drink with a meal.
I am on my first batch of Salus and will definitely reorder! This has become an essential product for me. So convenient to have all the key supplements in one scoop! Salus mixes into water easily with a spoon; there’s no yucky clumps or sickly mixture. The product is delicious! I take it in the afternoon and have so much energy! Game changer!
Whey isolate plus creatine was what first got my attention, but adding magnesium L-threonate, D3, K2 and algae-derived DHA makes it feel much more considered than a standard protein powder.
Pink lemonade is a good first flavour and I like the light protein-water style. I would definitely be interested in a second option such as grapefruit or something similarly fresh.
I usually do not want a creamy protein shake after a workout. A cold pink lemonade style drink is much more appealing to me, especially when it also includes creatine. This fits my routine far better than the usual chocolate or vanilla powders.
The best thing about it is that there is almost no decision-making involved. I keep the pouch on my bench, add cold water and carry on with my day. For a daily product, that simplicity is a major advantage.
This format is the standout for me. I want protein, but I do not always want a shake. A translucent pink lemonade style drink feels much easier to fit into the day.
I was already using protein and creatine separately, so the combination made immediate sense to me. The fact that it drinks more like lemonade than a thick shake is a big plus.
My mornings are usually organised around everyone else, so complicated routines disappear quickly. A single scoop that covers several products I would otherwise take separately is much more realistic for me.
I like the formula and the drink format, but the price means I would think of this as a premium daily product rather than a basic protein powder. For someone already buying several of the individual ingredients, the comparison is more favourable.
Cold water, scoop, mix and I am out the door. That sounds minor, but anything that does not require washing a blender earns points from me.
One scoop instead of six decisions. I like products that reduce friction, and this turns a handful of separate supplement decisions into one.
What I like most is the simplicity. The ingredient list is focused and the daily serving is straightforward. I am still too early into using a product like this to comment on any long-term difference, but as a daily routine it is very easy to stick with.
I was worried pink lemonade might be too sweet, but the flavour profile is more tart and refreshing than dessert-like. I would happily drink this with water rather than trying to hide it in a smoothie.
Light, slightly tart and not creamy. The finish is what I like most because it does not sit like a heavy shake.
I normally travel with multiple containers, which is annoying. Having the core daily products together in one pouch is much easier. The only thing I would love in future is a travel-size or single-serve option.
It is not a cheap pouch, so I looked closely at what was actually included before deciding whether the format made sense. Having NZ whey protein, branded creatine and K2 plus magnesium and algal DHA in the same product makes the value proposition easier to understand than comparing it with an ordinary protein powder.
This replaces the feeling of lining up multiple tubs and bottles every morning. I like that the formula combines protein, creatine, magnesium, D3, K2 and DHA in a single drink. It is a very easy habit to attach to breakfast.
I take it alongside breakfast because that is the easiest time for me to remember. The routine is simple enough that I do not have to think about it, which is exactly what I want from a daily product.
I like that the formulation is not trying to be a giant multivitamin with dozens of tiny doses. It focuses on a smaller group of ingredients I was already reading about and puts them into one simple daily habit.
For me the appeal is having whey protein, creatine and the other daily essentials together instead of remembering several separate products. One scoop, water, done.
